As the founder and owner of Person Group, Richard Hampuk is responsible for the group’s strategic and operation management.
How it all started
Richard was only a primary school student when he first showed his entrepreneurial spirit by selling branded gifts from his parents’ company to classmates and teachers. His first business was renting out lighting equipment for events near Kaposvár at the mere age of 14.
He has been working in the field of communications since 2004. He worked at multinational companies, in public administration, and on the agency side as well. For nearly 3 years, he worked in the Prime Minister’s Cabinet, then joined the PR agency of companies like MOL, Vodafone, Suez Environment, Microsoft, and HTC.
Turning point: the foundation of Person
Richard founded Person Communications in 2007 as a single-person company, which began to grow as the number of clients increased. Person Group was created in 2016, along with PaintCocktail, a special events company, and The Cave, a full-service digital agency.
Besides keeping up with the latest trends in the communications industry, it’s important for him to improve his leadership skills, because he wants to be the best leader for his colleagues and businesses.
He volunteered in Barack Obama’s campaign in 2012 and in Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016. During his travels abroad he learns about the latest trends in order to be able to build competitive, stable and sustainable international companies. It is his mission to prove that this is not only possible in the US or Western Europe, but in Hungary as well, through dedication, hard work and with the help of professional and motivated employees.
